As I've mentioned before, I don't really need Tarot cards to do a reading because I read the energy around a person and their situations.
But because of the way I channel the information, the Tarot helps me to show my clients what I'm 'seeing' during a reading, and more importantly, they help me stay grounded when I read. (Otherwise, a one hour reading could easily turn into a whole day affair. I love the sensation of 'submerging' when I begin to channel, and would stay in that energy long-term, if I could!)
For the past week, I've been working with a new deck of cards - my first in over 40 years. 20 years ago, the deck I'd used for the majority of my adult life (and the collection I had of over 200 additional decks) was stolen - shocking and heartbreaking - and it's taken all that time to adjust to the fact that I'd need another. Once I accepted that fact, it was then a matter of deciding which one I wanted; considering there are over 25,000 different Tarot decks in print, you can well imagine how difficult that could be! (If you're looking for a new Tarot or divination deck see what we have in our shop! http://www.whitelightenterprises.com/store/c31/Tarot_Cards.html)
I narrowed the choices to 25, then 10...and oh - there were some exquisite decks out there! The artwork on some of these was incredible - and they really called to me.
So you might wonder why, after all the time I took making my choice, I'd decide to go with the Original Rider-Waite Tarot - and it's a justifiable question.
